The Bake N Play Learning Method
We don't start with the recipe. We start with the outcome.
At Bake N Play, baking isn't the lesson. It's the vehicle that brings learning to life.
Every experience begins by asking what we want children to discover, practise or develop. From there, we create hands-on challenges that encourage children to question, make decisions, experiment, solve problems, communicate and work together.
Rather than simply showing children what to do and asking them to follow instructions, our educators create opportunities for children to think for themselves.
How the Bake N Play Learning Method Works
More Than Following a Recipe
A Bake N Play session might involve making pizza, bread or cupcakes, but the recipe is only part of the experience.
Children may think they're baking. We know they're learning through doing.
Designed for Education
Our approach has been developed through working directly with children in educational settings and can support learning and development across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Depending on the programme, experiences can support:
Whether delivered through an after-school club, curriculum enrichment programme or hands-on baking workshop, the principle remains the same:
The outcome comes first. Baking brings it to life.
